The cordage factory deals with spinning and weaving of sisal products, it is located about 1 km off the Tanga – Dar es Salaam/Arusha highway at Ngomeni – Muheza District area in Tanga. It is well served by rail and road into the hinterland. The mill is capable of producing 10,540 tons of yarns per year. The factory has two preparing lines, each capable of producing 10,540 tons of yarns per year.

The factory manufactures various products from sisal fibre as follows:
Agricultural and packing twines with runnage ranging from 120 to 300 m/kg.
Rot proof and water repellent sisal ropes with diameters ranging from 6 mm to 48 mm.
Fine yarns, runnage 300 to 900 m per kg.
Carpets, buffing cloth and geo-textiles with width of 65 to 400 cm.
Sisal Bags (50kgs – 100kgs carrying capacity)
Finished products from sisal carpet material range from hand bags, easy chairs, containers, round and square coasters, pen holders, table mats, laptop bags.
